Can I be transparent this morning? Sometimes I grow weary of waiting, believing, hoping, for the breakthrough. I know God has promised us if we ARE persistent, consistent, faithful in the little, He will reward us with much. But sometimes when I am quiet, when the TV is off, the busyness cease, I grow weary.
Can anyone else relate?
Abraham grew tired of the wait and birthed Ishmael
Joseph grew tired and asked the king’s servant to remember him.
Moses, Joshua, Caleb all grew weary waiting forty years for a promised that should have taken a couple of years.
David grew weary and aligned himself with his enemy.
They all grew weary in the wait BUT they never stopped believing. They remained persistent, consistent, faithful.
This morning I feel like I’m supposed to tell you to remain steadfast; to continue to walk in obedience in the small things. To not give up. Don’t quit what God has called you to do. Remain consistent, persistent, and faithful.
God has promised:
Your gift will open doors for you before Kings.
You will reap a harvest in due time.
Joy is coming in the morning.
Last night, in the quiet, I was recalling a few prayer requests that have gone unanswered. Not only are they unanswered, it seems the situations have not budged. In that moment I had to make a choice: I could believe or I could give in to hopelessness. I could trust or I could despair. I could pray or I could complain.
Are you waiting for your suddenly? Your breakthrough? In the wait, choose to believe; choose to trust; choose prayer. Remain persistent, consistent, faithful. It worked for Abraham, and those guys. It will work for you as well.
Your Suddenly is on the way! Do not relent.
“And don’t allow yourselves to be weary or disheartened in planting good seeds, for the season of reaping the wonderful harvest you’ve planted is coming!”
Galatians 6:9 TPT
