Take Your Position

Yesterday at church, we sang the words, “I am who You say I am.” As we sang those words, I felt as if God were saying, “Tell my people to take their position.” What I then saw was something that look like the Formula One’s Winning Podium.

In a Formula One Race, the winner stands in the middle on a higher step, the second place driver on his right and third place on his left. What I saw was God standing in the middle, Jesus standing on the right and no one standing on the left. I felt as if  God was calling for us to, “Come, my child, take your position at the Winning Podium.”

What prevents us from taking our position? Feelings of unworthiness? False humility? Memories of our past mistakes? Remember the song we were singing when God spoke those words to me, “I am who He says I am.” Who does He say we are?

The Righteousness Of God in Christ Jesus.
