I’m a Co-Heir

Have you ever considered that we are heirs? We have an inheritance. The Bible says we are co-heirs with Christ. Now, an inheritance is mine simply because I am a child. I don’t have to work for it or earn it. Others may contest it but I can pull out the Will (The New Testament) and say, “See, it says it right here, this legally belongs to me.”

So what exactly did we inherit? Well it’s so much, it cannot be listed in this short post but here are some highlights:

Unbroken fellowship with the Father

Health and wholeness

Wisdom

Joy

Authority

Peace

The in dwelling of the Holy Spirit

Authority over the power of darkness

Power

The ability to hear His voice

A commission and an anointing to heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out evil spirits, preach the gospel and set the oppressed free.

What if today, as Children of God, we enjoyed our inheritance? What if we unapologetically walked in the fullness of what has already been provided to us? What if when the enemy tried to contest our inheritance, we stood firm and said, “See it says it right here in the New Testament I have been freely given health, wholeness, authority, fruit of the Spirit, gifts of the Spirit, life abundantly, and authority over ALL your evil works. This is my inheritance and today I choose to believe I am a son and I have what He says I have.”

“The Spirit himself bears witness with our own spirits that we are children of God; and if we are children, then we are also heirs, heirs of God and joint-heirs with the Messiah — provided we are suffering with him in order also to be glorified with him.”

Romans (Rom) 8:16-17 CJB
