“I’m just a sinner saved by grace.” We have all heard it; perhaps have even said it! But this is one of the biggest lies Satan has sold us.

Yes, we were all sinners. We were born into sin.

But once we accept Jesus as our Savior, he gave us a new name. A new identity. A new spirit. He declares we are now The Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.

Why is it important that we know who we are? There are promises for the righteousness of God. You need to know who you are so you can stand on those promises. Here are just a few:

“The lips of the righteous feed many.

The blessing of the LORD makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it.

The desire of the righteous will be granted.

The righteous has an everlasting foundation.

The hope of the righteous will be gladness.

The righteous will never be removed.”
