Surrender

When you are between the promise and the fulfillment, surrender.

If I have learned anything from reading Genesis to Revelation, it is this: “Life rarely turns out like we had planned.” But God can take our mistakes, our failures, our hurts, our pains and our tragedies, and use them for His glory. If we can trust Him with our past, can’t we trust Him with our future?

God is calling you to something today.  Yes, it may seem scary.  Yes, it may seem as if He is asking you to give up everything.  But as you surrender, His love and His peace will overshadow you.  As you give your all to Him, He will give you all you never knew you wanted.  When you surrender to His plan, when you close your eyes and fall into His arms, you will soar on wings like eagles.  You will experience unspeakable joy as you rest in Him.

Let us declare like Mary, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” (Luke 1:38)

Mary was a woman with a promise.  You, too, are a person with a promise.  Mary was chosen to host the presence of God for nine months.  But you have been chosen to host His presence for a lifetime. You have been called, set apart for such a time as this.  You have a King inside of you and God is calling you to change the world.
