Therefore…

Yesterday my Facebook feed was filled with “He is Risen.” We celebrated with church family, food, and Easter Egg hunts. It was beautiful!

But if today, I return to normal without a sense of awe of the implications that He has risen, yesterday becomes simply a religious ritual.

If you have a saving knowledge of Christ, let’s continue the celebration of Easter every day because of the following truths:

He is Risen – Therefore sin has lost its power over us. (Romans 6:6)

He is Risen – Therefore the veil was torn and we have open access to the Father. We can enter into the Holy of Holies, unfettered and unapologetically. (Hebrews 4:12)

He is Risen – Therefore we no longer evaluate people by their outward appearances. (II Corinthians 5:16)

He is Risen – Therefore we are no longer sinners but we are now the “Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.”

He is Risen – Therefore death has lost its sting. We do not fear death for we know we we have paradise on the other side. (I Corinthians 15:55)

He is Risen – Therefore He has stripped the enemy of his power (Colossians 2:15) and given power and authority to us who believe (Matthew 28:18&19).

He Risen – Therefore we can speak with new tongues, lay hands on the sick and they will recover, cast out demons, be bitten by deadly snakes and not be harmed, preach the Gospel throughout the world.

Let “He is Risen” be more than Facebook post on Easter Sunday. Let it become a reality that empowers and emboldened us daily. Let it change the way we think, act, love. Let this truth, “He is Risen indeed” impact us in such a way it redefines how we see ourselves, others, and the obstacles we face.

He is Risen, boys and girls. Let us rejoice in this truth and it’s implications everyday and all day!
