Steadfast

Steadfastness. Faithfulness. Perseverance. Characteristics that are becoming extinct in our modern, microwave, want it now society. But these words are still relevant in God’s society. They not only describe His character but He wants it to describe His people as well.

I woke up this morning and this scripture was on my heart:

“but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Yeshua the Messiah! So, my dear brothers, stand firm and immovable, always doing the Lord’s work as vigorously as you can, knowing that united with the Lord your efforts are not in vain.” 1 Corinthians (1 Co)‬ ‭15:57-58‬ ‭CJB‬‬

God has spoken several promises to me that I have yet to see come to pass. In the waiting, in the process it’s easy to give up; it’s tempting to abandon the dream. But I think God is reminded me this morning that small steps, the obedience in the small things, faithfulness in the hidden things is where the victory is won.

You may think the small things you are doing for the Lord is insignificant. You may feel as if no fruit is being produced from your obedience. You are tired of praying, sick of being a light in the darkness at work, exhausted from declaring. But your work is not in vain. God’s word spoken by you will not return void (that’s a promise). He who began a good work in you will complete it (that’s a promise). He is always leading you to victory (that’s a promise).

So my friends, persevere, remain steadfast, stand firm, do not allow what you don’t see with your natural eyes to move you. United with God, you are moving mountains. United with God, you are chasing back the darkness. United with God, you are doing exactly what God called you to do. United with God you are bringing heaven to earth – little by little. Your work is not in vain! Be like your Daddy – steadfast, faithful, immovable.
