She was denied.
Told no because she was female.
Told no because she was a gentile.
The disciples thought she was annoying.
She was compared to a dog by Jesus.
But she refused to take no for an answer.
She persisted.
She knocked and kept knocking.
Why? Her child was in distress.
Her daughter needed relief.
She had a shameless audacity.
It seems this theme keeps resonating in my heart as of late. Maybe God is trying to tell me something. As soon as I wrote those words, Holy Spirit whispered to me:
“Declutter your life and pray.
Turn off the noise. Fast and pray.
Pray for your children
Pray for your ministry and calling.
Pray for healing for others.
Be focused like this woman.
You are on the cusp of breakthrough.
Don’t grow weary in asking.
Don’t give up.
Breakthrough is coming.”
This woman walked away with a healing and a commendation, “Great is your faith.”
Let’s pray.
Let’s persevere.
Let’s have a shameless audacity.
““Dear woman,” Jesus said to her, “your faith is great. Your request is granted.” And her daughter was instantly healed.”
