Better Days are Ahead
When my kids were little, we use to quote scripture at the dinner table. One time I quoted the scripture, “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard what God has prepared for His children.” My son in his 2nd grade arrogance said, “well if eye has not seen it, nor ear heard it, how do you know it’s good?”
That’s a good question. As we are on the precipice of a new decade, some of you may have angst about the future. Perhaps 2019 was disappointing or maybe it was so good you feel as if 2020 could never be as good. Perhaps you are entering this new decade jobless, spouse-less, child-less, purpose-less.
But believe me when I tell you – God has something amazing in store for you – beyond your wildest imagination. How do I know it’s good?
I know the Giver. He is good. I know He longs to be gracious toward His children. I know He delights in our prosperity. I know all good and perfect gifts come from God.
Sp let’s pray to that end. Let’s pray this next decade will be marked with the goodness of God.
“Father, honestly, at this moment I can’t see what is ahead. I can’t see past my disappointment, past my hurt. But I know and trust you have something good in store for me. I know you will not waste the pain heavy on my heart at this moment. So I pray in faith.
I declare for every door closed in 2019, a floodgate of blessing will open in 2020.
For every rejection I faced in 2019, there will be acceptance and favor by people of influence.
Every dime stolen from me in 2019, will be returned 100 hundred fold in 2020.
In every area I felt captive in 2019, I will find freedom in 2020 and I will set others free.
Lord give me greater revelation in 2020. Greater anointing to heal. Greater influence with Pre-Christians. Give me Creative ideas to reach the lost and bless those in need. Bless me and my family more than we can ask, think, or imagine in 2020. Bless me and my family beyond our dream level.
I declare, Good things are happening for me and my family in 2020.”
“This is why the Scriptures say: Things never discovered or heard of before, things beyond our ability to imagine— these are the many things God has in store for all his lovers.”
