No Fear!

Goliath stood – tall, fierce, intimidating – taunting the armies of God. Everyone, including their leader, Saul was afraid of him. Picture it. The Philistine army on one side, the army of God on the other. What prevented God’s army from moving forward was one thing: fear. Fear had them stuck in their tracks cowering, shaking in their boots.

On the scene came a young lad – good-looking, confident, and full of faith. He dared to believe the promises of God. He had the audacity to believe he could battle such a giant. He had no fear.

We all know the story, that day a boy defeated a giant. But this is what God is showing me this morning. Once the giant was overcome, the army of God went forth and plundered the Philistine nation. Often what stands between us and our next breakthrough is fear!!!! We stand on one side, the promises of God on the other and in between is fear. Fear stands tall, fierce, intimidating, taunting us with memories of past defeats, and what if’s. It paralyze us from moving forward.

Are you paralyzed by fear this season? Find your inner King. Remember whose you are and who you are. Dare to believe the promises of God. Have the audacity to believe you can do what God has called you to do. Cut the head off of your fear and then go plunder the land God has given you. Arm yourself with the word of God, pray without ceasing, and move forward. When you cut the head off your fear, doors will open. No fear!

David ran and stood over him. He took hold of the Philistine’s sword and drew it from the sheath. After he killed him, he cut off his head with the sword. When the Philistines saw that their hero was dead, they turned and ran. When the Israelites returned from chasing the Philistines, they plundered their camp. (‭1 Samuel‬ ‭17‬:‭51, 53‬ NIV)
