We come…
Nothing or no one can prevent us…
There are not obstacles that can stop us…
The admission price has been paid.
The invitation extended.
There is no barrier between us and Him.
We come boldly…
Awed by His majesty…
Humbled by His Presence…
Yet knowing His scepter is always extended.
Knowing we are accepted.
Knowing we will not be turned away.
We come boldly to His Throne of Grace…
He is King of kings. Lord of lords.
He is almighty. All-knowing. All-present. All-Loving.
He is both the Lion and the Lamb.
All-powerful but meek enough to accept us in our fragility.
All-Holy but accepts us in our imperfections.
We come boldly to His Throne of Grace to receive mercy and grace.
We come imperfect and are made perfect.
We come fallen and are lifted.
We come angry and are comforted.
We come sad and are made glad.
We come mourning and are clothed in joy.
We come in need and receive more than enough.
We come confused and find answers.
We come doubting and are injected with faith.
We come unforgiving and experience forgiveness.
We come disappointed and are imparted with hope
We come afraid and are wrapped in love.
We come sick and are made whole.
Oh, don’t you want come this morning? Come freely. Come boldly. His arms are opened wide. Come and find grace. Come and find mercy. Come and find what you truly need for today. Come and find acceptance.
“So then, we must cling in faith to all we know to be true. For we have a magnificent King-Priest, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who rose into the heavenly realm for us, and now sympathizes with us in our frailty. He understands humanity, for as a Man, our magnificent King-Priest was tempted in every way just as we are, and conquered sin. So now we come freely and boldly to where love is enthroned, to receive mercy’s kiss and discover the grace we urgently need to strengthen us in our time of weakness.”
