This is what I am standing on, today and everyday. These are the promises to which I cling.
If God is for me, who can be against me?
He who did not spare His own son, but gave Him up for me, how will He not freely with Jesus, give me ALL THINGS.
Who can accuse me? Jesus is my attorney and my alibi.
What can prevent God from loving me? Nothing. Not my past, not my sin, my fears, my worries, tribulation, isolation, demons, angels, nothing!
I am part of the Bride of Christ (God would never divorce me.)
I am a favored daughter. (God would never disinherit me.)
I am His.
I will never be forgotten, forsaken, left at the altar.
He graciously gives allI need. I want for nothing.
These statements are true. They are true on the mountain. They are true in the valley. They are true in times of peace and they are true in the storm. They are true in times of abundance. They are true in times of scarcity. They are true when I’m free to roam about the planet. They are true when I shelter in place.
So I believe, cling to, anchor my hope to these truths as I get out of bed to face my day. What thought are you clinging to this morning as you get out of bed?
I encourage you to meditate on the Message, no nonsense, translation of these truths and cling to this:
“So, what do you think? With God on our side like this, how can we lose? If God didn’t hesitate to put everything on the line for us, embracing our condition and exposing himself to the worst by sending his own Son, is there anything else he wouldn’t gladly and freely do for us? And who would dare tangle with God by messing with one of God’s chosen? Who would dare even to point a finger? The One who died for us—who was raised to life for us!—is in the presence of God at this very moment sticking up for us. Do you think anyone is going to be able to drive a wedge between us and Christ’s love for us? There is no way! Not trouble, not hard times, not hatred, not hunger, not homelessness, not bullying threats, not backstabbing, not even the worst sins listed in Scripture: They kill us in cold blood because they hate you. We’re sitting ducks; they pick us off one by one. None of this fazes us because Jesus loves us. I’m absolutely convinced that nothing—nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable—absolutely nothing can get between us and God’s love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us.”
