I have never had surgery, only been hospitalized three times and I named those visits Jay, Lyndsay, and Joshua. Although my body may have never needed repair, my spirit and my soul have received extensive work at the hands of the Great Physician.
I had open heart surgery and was given a new heart, that was pliable, and teachable.
I had brain surgery and was given the mind of Christ.
I had a blood transfusion and now resurrecting power flows within me.
But daily, as I read the word, my soul goes under the precise cutting of the word of God.
His word is so exacting.
It brings conviction without condemnation.
It removes pride while reminding you of you value.
It shows you a glorious future without making you feel hopeless.
It causes you to despise sin but absolutely love those struggling with sin.
It sets you free and produces boldness within you to set others free.
When I’m disappointed , the Word of God gives me a facelift, reminding me of the Father’s faithfulness.
When I’m discouraged, the Word of God gives me an eye lift to see fresh revelation.
When I’m distracted, the Word of God gives me a neck lift so I cannot turn to the left or to the right but remain focused on him.
Let the Word of God transform you today. Let his Word operate on your soul today. The Word has never lost a patient but has produced some of the most humble, most powerful people to ever walk the face of the earth.
Who is ready for surgery today?
“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
Hebrews 4:12 NKJV
