Do you need to overcome anything this morning?
I’m meditating on this scripture this morning:
“And they overcame and conquered him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, for they did not love their life and renounce their faith even when faced with death.”
Revelation 12:11 AMP
They overcame and conquered him. Who? The accuser of the brethren. The one who makes accusations against the saints. The one who keeps bringing up your past. The one who whispers lies to make you fear, to make you feel ashamed and condemned. The one who keeps you isolated, ineffective, doubting. The one who causes strife and disunity. The one whose power was stripped at cross but continues to steal our power by bringing us into agreement with him.
Do you want to overcome him? How? By the blood of the Lamb. Recognizing the work of the cross is complete. Remind yourself you have been made righteous, holy, and blameless. Your sins were forgiven. Your debt paid. You were moved out of the red and into the black. You are washed in the chain-breaking, freedom setting, healing bearing, restoration bringing, wonder working blood of the Lamb.
How? By your testimony. Testify of what God has done. Testify of what Jesus did 2000 years ago. Testify of how he blessed you, provided in the past, rescued you from danger, healed your body. Testify of what He has done. Then testify of what He will do! Declare you have a bright future. Testify of your restored marriage, your children reconciled back to God, your body healed, your bank account healthy, your ministry flurishing.
How? Steadfastness. Storms rise. Battles come. But we believe when faced with danger. We trust when faced with the impossible. We turn our face like flint when all seems lost. When others prophesy doom, we cling to the truth, “I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.” We are anchored in faith.
Brothers and sisters, in Him you are an overcomer. In Him, you have already won. So let’s take back what has already been granted. Let us overcome the lies of the enemy and walk in the fullness.
