Because the enemy is real – we need Christmas.

Because hell is hot and forever is a long time – we need Christmas.

Because sometimes life is unfair- we need Christmas.

Because our sins were great – we need Christmas.

Because we were far away – we need Christmas.

Because we were lost – we need Christmas.

Because the dividing wall had to come down – we need Christmas.

Because we needed a demonstration of love – we need Christmas.

Because of sickness and disease – we need Christmas.

Because it was unobtainable on our own – we need Christmas.

Because we need – we need Christmas.

Love came down. A Savior was given. He bore our sickness, carried our diseases, atoned for our sins. He issued in a season of grace, opening the door for all to enter and empowered us to go and sin no more. We needed Christmas. We needed a Savior so love came down on Christmas Day.
