Trust Issues

Some trust in Presidents
But I trust in the Lord my God.

Some trust in riches,
But I trust in the Lord my God.

Some trust in education,
But I trust in the Lord my God.

To whom are you looking to for help? In what are you trusting?

We live in very tumultuous times. Bad news is abundant. Reports can leave you feeling hopeless, angry, discouraged. But it is in these times that our gaze, our eyes should be sternly set on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. We need to unglue our eyes from TV, Facebook, Twitter and glue our eyes onto the Word of God. It is time to stop defending our political parties and began to declare God’s word.

It is time we recognize a President cannot heal what ails our country, riches make a poor god, and education can give us knowledge but not wisdom. It is time we go back to the basic and renew our trust in the goodness, the faithfulness, and the majesty of God. It’s time to trust again.

“Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭20:7‬ ‭NIV‬‬
