For minutes, she held me tightly and sobbed in my arms. I hope she felt seen by God. I hope she felt loved by Jesus. I hope she knew when I hugged her she was being hugged by the Father.

This I Call to Mind
“Great is your faithfulness. Your mercies are new every morning.” These amazing words of hope and assurance were literally penned in the middle of one of Israel’s most devastating seasons. Jeremiah, the prophet wrote these words as he was lamenting. Jeremiah said when he thought about his problems, his affliction, his lack he became depressed and hopeless. With this problem, I have learned something about my faith. If I can’t...

He promised to marry me. With that assurance, plans were made – Dresses purchased, vendors hired, invitations sent. Not once, did I ever doubt I would be Mrs. James Bolden. I had...
Be True To You

But Saul went back to the comfort of his home while David remained a fugitive living in a cave. David had acted honorably toward Nabal, protecting his flock from wild animals and thieves. But Nabal in turn disrespected David and his men. This perhaps was the proverbial straw that broke...

But nonetheless Jephthah prospered in his new land. Now, the rest of the story…. Jephthah did not allow his brother’s rejection to alter the call on his life. He was a man of valor regardless if it were at home or in...
