In the natural, I am a hard-working, type A personality. I can get a job done. And while there is a place for that in the kingdom, there is also a place of rest. Paul encouraged us, “when you have done all, stand.”
This is where I find myself this season. I have done what I feel the Lord has instructed me to do and now I’m standing, waiting for God to do what only He can do. Perhaps, you find yourself in that same season. You have declared the word, you have fasted, you have walked in obedience, you have done all you know to do in the natural and still no breakthrough. Here is the Word of the Lord, for us who are in that season:
1. “Not by might, nor by power but by My Spirit” says the Lord. God is going to supernaturally bring to pass what He has promised. He is opening doors no man can shut. He is bringing you before kings and Prince’s (influential people). He is making crooked places straight and given you favor with man.
2. Not even a mighty mountain will stand in your way. It will become a level plain. God is removing obstacles that stand between you and your promise. As the children crossed the sea on dry ground, God is clearing a path so that you will walk freely into your promised land.
3. When God opens doors, others will bless it.
4. Do not despise small beginnings. But God is giving you the promised land little by little. He is going to take you from glory to glory.
In this season, refuse discouragement. Refuse doubt and worry. Rest in His promises. Enjoy the journey.
“Then he said to me, “This is what the LORD says to Zerubbabel: It is not by force nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies. Nothing, not even a mighty mountain, will stand in Zerubbabel’s way; it will become a level plain before him! And when Zerubbabel sets the final stone of the Temple in place, the people will shout: ‘May God bless it! May God bless it!’ ”
Do not despise these small beginnings, for the LORD rejoices to see the work begin, to see the plumb line in Zerubbabel’s hand.”
