When questioned about His authority to cast out demons, Jesus told the following story:
““When a strong man, armed to the teeth, stands guard in his front yard, his property is safe and sound. But what if a stronger man comes along with superior weapons? Then he’s beaten at his own game, the arsenal that gave him such confidence hauled off, and his precious possessions plundered.”
Luke 11:21-22 MSG
As Christians we must recognize that because of the finished work of the cross, we are now the stronger man in that parable! We have the superior weapons! We are called to attack the gates of hell and plunder all the enemy has stolen from us. We are called to rescue people from the kingdom of darkness and bring them into the kingdom of light.
We should not fear demons. Demons fear us. They are afraid we will have a revelation of who we are and know the power we posses. That is why the enemy so relentlessly attack our identity. But I encourage you friends, know who you are! Know that you are the stronger man and go plunder the enemy of your soul.
