Preemptive Strike – Day 18

Make a Difference

Knee Pained Healed
Tizimín, Mexico

In 2019, perhaps the most stable part of my life has been my job. I love my job and most days I’m good at it. I know I have been called to encourage teenagers and help them reach their potential. I know I’m there to show them the love of God. I rest in satisfaction of knowing I make a difference in my classroom.

But I want to make a difference in the world outside my classroom as well.

I know many of you enjoy my daily blog. (This is not me fishing for compliments). I am honored to speak into so many lives daily. But in 2020, I would like to make a greater impact in the Body of Christ. I want to see more people encouraged, empowered, emboldened, set free.

How about you? Do you want to make a difference in 2020? Do you want to grow in your gifts and talents God has given you? Let’s pray.

“Father, I thank you that I am your masterpiece, your poem, created for good works. I thank you Father that you are faithful and will complete the good work you have begun in me.

As we transition into this new decade, it appears as if the world is getting darker. But truly it is an opportunity for your people to shine brighter, to love more extravagantly, be your hands and feet in a more profound manner. Let me be a solution in this new decade.

In 2020, give me creative ways to positively impact this generation. Show me where you have called me to make a difference. Give me a desire and passion to partner with you in that area.

Father, we have been equipped with every spiritual blessing in you. You have made us sufficient in you. We have the fruit of the Spirit. We have gifts from the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. So we stand before you, not relying on ourselves but upon Jesus within us, and declare, “Here I am, Lord. Send me.”

Send me into this world of confusion.
Send me into this divisive world.
Send me into difficult places.
Send me into dark places.
Send me where there is hopelessness, lack, disease.

There is a balm in America. It is Jesus within me. It is the Jesus within you. Christ in me is the Hope of glory.

In 2020, I will partner with the Holy Spirit and will have a greater impact in the Body of Christ and in the world around me. Amen”

“God wanted to make known among the Gentiles the glorious wealth of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
