Not Climbing any Mountains

“I’m climbing up on the rough side of the mountain” was a gospel song we sung in the early 2000’s. I did not like that song because Jesus never told us to climb our mountains; He told us to speak to our mountains.

I always felt that if I climbed the mountain, I left it for the next generation to deal with it. But we are called to speak to our mountains, cast it into sea so that the next generation could cast different mountains in the sea.

I don’t believe in generational curses but there are generational mountains – poverty, anger, divorce, sickness, alcoholism to name a few. It’s time church to begin to speak to the mountains in our lives and say move! Be cast into the sea.

Ain’t nobody got time to be climbing a mountain. We already have view from the heavens because Jesus has promised we are seated in heavenly places!

Go speak to your mountain today – it’s gotta move!

““Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”
