Lessons learned from Joshua as he entered the promise land.
1. Expect great things. Prophesy what God will do. – “Joshua told the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you.”” (Joshua 3:5 NIV)
2. Don’t wait for the waters to part. Take a risk. Step out in faith. – “Yet as soon as the priests who carried the ark reached the Jordan and their feet touched the water’s edge, the water from upstream stopped flowing. It piled up in a heap a great distance away. So the people crossed over opposite Jericho.” (Joshua 3:15-16 NIV)
3. Do what God instructs you to do regardless to how much sense it makes to your natural mind. Prophetic acts are powerful. “When the trumpets sounded, the army shouted, and at the sound of the trumpet, when the men gave a loud shout, the wall collapsed; so everyone charged straight in, and they took the city.” (Joshua 6:20 NIV)
Be strong and courageous. Go take your promises land!
