What Aaron had to do to meet with God:
“He said to Aaron, “Take a young bull for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering, both without defects, and present them to the LORD. Then tell the Israelites, ‘Take a male goat for a sin offering, and take a calf and a lamb, both a year old and without defects, for a burnt offering. Also take a bull and a ram for a peace offering and flour moistened with olive oil for a grain offering. Present all these offerings to the LORD because the LORD will appear to you today.’”” Leviticus 9:2-4 NLT
What we have to do to meet with God:
“So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.” Hebrews 4:16 NLT
The cross changed everything! It removed the need for sacrifice because Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice. He was the lamb without defect. He was our sin offering. He was our burnt offering. He was our peace offering. Therefore we are perpetually right with God! As such, every moment of every day we can boldly go into His throne room, freely, no guilt, no condemnation, no sacrifice, no ritual, no pomp and circumstance necessary because the sacrifice has been offered, the ritual completed.
So let us go, no, let us run into His presence! He is waiting.
