It’s Monday!

It’s Monday morning. Many of us are off to begrudgingly begin a new work week. For some of us Monday is just another reminder that we are still jobless. Yet for others, Monday begins the busyness of packing school lunches and chauffeuring kids around. Monday, probably the most dreaded day of the week.

Whatever this Monday brings for you, I want you to remember Apostle Paul. Falsely imprisoned. Unfairly beaten. He did not lament his situation. He did not mumble and grumble about being treated unfairly. Instead, while imprisoned, he gave us these three truths:

1. Rejoice always.
2. We can do all things through Christ who gives us strength
3. God will supply all of our needs according to His riches in glory.

Let us begin this Monday, clinging to these truths. Let this be our rally cry as we are given another opportunity to be salt and light. Let these truths be the filter to which we begin our day. It’s Monday, an opportunity to begin anew. It’s Monday, another opportunity to experience the goodness of God. It’s Monday, a great day for a miracle.

Rejoice because you can have a good Monday through God who gives you strength and provides all you need!

“Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice!

For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.

And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.”
