Jesus said, “Lets go to the other side.” Jesus and the disciples were in the boat. A storm arose. The boat was being tossed to and fro, water filled the boat. The disciples feared. Jesus slept. The disciples thought, “we will surely perish!” Jesus declared, “Let’s go to the other side.” Finally after much turmoil, someone suggested, maybe we should awake Jesus. At that moment, when Jesus was invited into the situation, peace came in like a flood, hope return, the vision -“let’s go to the other side” now became possible.

Lesson Learned: when Jesus gives you a promise, and you start sailing toward that promise, a storm may arise. You may feel as if you are being tossed to and fro. You may feel you will never reach the promise. But Jesus is in the boat with you. You can choose to fear, to focus on the storm, to predict failure OR you can choose to awaken the Jesus inside of you and speak to the storm. Invite Jesus into your circumstance and watch peace overcome your storm. Hope will inspire you. With Jesus inside of you, you will go to the other side. You will see the fulfillment of the promise!

Yes, Jesus cares. He is just waiting for you to awaken the Him inside of you!

“And a fierce windstorm began to blow, and waves were breaking over the boat, so that it was already being swamped. But Jesus was in the stern, asleep [with His head] on the [sailor’s leather] cushion. And they woke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are about to die?” And He got up and [sternly] rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Hush, be still (muzzled)!” And the wind died down [as if it had grown weary] and there was [at once] a great calm [a perfect peacefulness]. Jesus said to them, “Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith and confidence [in Me]?””
