Life should not be this cruel. First her husband and now her only son. Her heart ached. The pain was unbearable. She was alone. Hope was gone. So she slowly walked, tears flowing, heavy-hearted to lay to rest her only son. But suddenly….

Jesus appears. He sees her pain. He feels her grief. He sees her hopelessness, her tears. And with one touch, with one word, this widow is given back her son. With one word the dead is resurrected. With one touch hope is restored.

Friends, do you have what feels like a hopeless situation in your life? Perhaps your child’s spirit seems dead. They are struggling with addiction, or they have turned their backs on God. Maybe your marriage is over, separation has occurred, the divorce papers filed. Or maybe your financial outlook is bleak. The debt is mounting and it feels as if there is no way to climb out of this financial mess.

Whatever hopeless, dead situation you find yourself facing, know Jesus sees your tears. He feels your pain. The Resurrected King is resurrecting your situation. He will give you your child back. He will restore your marriage. He will provide miraculously. If he can raise the dead back to life, your situation is not to difficult for God. Hope.

“Then he went up and touched the bier they were carrying him on, and the bearers stood still. He said, “Young man, I say to you, get up!” The dead man sat up and began to talk, and Jesus gave him back to his mother.”
