Did you know the opposite of love is not hate but fear? Fear is the root of most sins.
We fear loneliness, so we make bad choices. We fear financial insecurity so we cheat. We fear rejection, so we make poor alliances. We fear our way of life is being threatened so we reject others who are different from us.
But the remedy for fear is a greater revelation of the Father’s love. The Bible says, “Perfect love casts out all fear.” So if you find yourself paralyzed by fear, stuck in a sin pattern, struggling with an addiction, ask God for a greater revelation of His love. Pray this prayer with me:
“Father, I ask that from your glorious riches, You may strengthen me with power through Your Spirit in my inner being, so that Christ may dwell in my heart through faith. And I ask that I, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that I may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”

By faith, I receive a greater revelation of God’s love today. His love will eradicate ALL fear in my life.
