Life can be difficult. Things don’t always go the way we would like. People disappoint. The unexpected happens. Harsh diagnosis are given. But in the midst of the hard times, God is there.

I am learning to see God in EVERY situation. He is IN the good, the bad, the ugly, the disappointments, the exciting, the beautiful. He is IN it ALL. That is not to say He is the author of the bad and the ugly. But He is IN it, working it out for my good.

Paul put it this way: “We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭4:7-10‬ ‭NIV‬‬

So in every situation, good or bad, I have a choice.
I can choose to see Beauty or I can choose to see Ugly.
I can choose to speak of His goodness or I can choose to speak of the enemy’s destruction.
I can choose to Exalt God with praise or I can choose to exalt the enemy with complaints.
In every situation, we fix our eyes on Jesus. He is there.

“Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”
