Lord, I ask that you protect the hearts, souls, and minds of the beautiful children who have been separated from their parents. Holy Spirit comfort them, hold them, rock them to sleep. I bind the spirits of rejection, fear, and abandonment that is trying to enter their precious little hearts. I release Spirits of love and acceptance over them. Let them know God as Jehovah-Shammah, the God who is there.
What the enemy meant for evil, You are going to turn around for your glory. Lord, I pray that even while in these temporary shelters, these children and their caregivers will feel your presence and turn to you. They will know you as Savior and as Lord. They will find comfort in You. They will find peace in You. Let your presence saturate these shelters.
Lord I pray for our President, our Attorney General, and members of Congress. Let each leader lay down their cause, their pride, and humbly seek your will. Give them wisdom and compassion. Let them come together and end this policy TODAY. Speak to them through dreams, visions, and leading prophetic voices. Let them see these children as you see them. Let them feel the parents’ pain, heartache, and desperation. Give our leaders a greater revelation of your love. Let them govern and enact policies that reflect Your heart and your love for these precious people who are seeking a better life for themselves and their families.
Lord, let America be the great, compassionate, loving nation you have called us to be. Let us be a leader in Human Rights. Let us be the example and the epitome of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
Heal our land Lord. Heal the hearts of our leaders. Heal the hearts of these children taken from their families. Fill our leaders with the knowledge of your will with all wisdom and spiritual understanding. Let them make decisions that are pleasing in your sight and bear good fruit. Amen.
Please join me in praying for this dire situation today. We can blame, we can point fingers, or we can do what God has instructed us to do – pray. I don’t have a solution. Neither does our government. But God has the answer. Let our leaders seek God to find the solution.
“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.”
