Last night I had the honor of sharing with women from across the southeast and Haiti. Here are a few points the Lord had me share:
We were designed for such a time as this. The Bible says “Your eyes saw me when I was formless; all my days were written in your book and planned before a single one of them began.” Psalms 139:16 CSB
God knew this generation would experience 2020.
God is not the author of the pandemic, the political polarization, or the racial unrest. But He was not caught off guard either. He planned for this. Do you know what his solution to 2020 is? You and I, the church.
Our question during this time should not be where are the politicians? Where are the civil rights activist? Where are the school teachers? Our question should be, where is the church?
We have been designed, equipped, and purposed for such a time as this!
It’s time for the church to stop behaving as if 2020 happened to them. It’s time for the Church to happen to 2020.
It’s time for the church to get out of the business of political parties and get back in the business of loving people in practical ways.
It’s time for the church to get out of the business of building buildings and get into the business of building bridges of racial reconciliation.
The Church, you and I, are called to be a solution.
A month ago, I felt like I was supposed to go into an improvised area and give away school supplies. I didn’t really have the resources to do that. But God did. Along the way, God put on my heart to give away bags of groceries. Again, God provided. I thought it would be nice if kids could have tutoring. Again God provided.
No, we did not solve “all of their problems.” But we were part of the solution. How can you be part of the solution?
Last night, I asked the ladies to meditate on three questions. I invite you as well.
1. You are a divine collaboration of the Trinity! Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the Trinity’s thoughts about you as you were formed in your mother’s womb.
2. Ask the Holy Spirit to give you a greater revelation of the truth, “You have been equipped with every spiritual blessing.”
3. Ask the Holy Spirit, “how can I be a solution during this season? What is my purpose?”
Church, let’s change our perspective. We are NOT victims of 2020. We were designed, equipped, and purposed for such a time as this! We are overcomes and help others overcome.
Come on Church! Let’s go happen to 2020!
