I was sharing with another teacher my teaching schedule for the Fall. She looked at me and said, “You have so much Favor”.
As I drove home after our conversation, I began to reflect on my teaching career. I was overwhelmed by the favor I have with students and parents. I repented for taking that favor for granted or thinking it was simply because of my longevity. The favor I have is because of my Heavenly Father. He has promised:
“Lord, how wonderfully you bless the righteous. Your favor wraps around each one and covers them under your canopy of kindness and joy.” Psalms 5:12 TPT
Favor is available to all who believe. If you are not experiencing Favor in an area of your life, try these faith hacks:
1. Begin to declare you have favor. I often state: “Lord, thank you that I have favor with students, teachers, and parents.”
2. Be consistent. We have to earn people’s trust. The Bible says, “Jesus grew in wisdom, stature, and favor.” (Luke 2:52)
3. Extend favor to others. It’s as biblical principle – “Give and it will be given to you – good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over.” (Luke 6:38)
4. Be kind. The Bible encourages us to let our speech be seasoned with grace (Colossians 4:6) and to keep our behavior excellent among non-believers (I Peter 2:12).
God’s Favor is free. But we can cooperate with Him by creating a favor-conducive environment.
Thank you God for that I have favor with you and with man.
