For twelve years, she went from doctor to doctor to no avail. Everything she tried failed. She was left alone, poor, frail. She had no reason to hope, yet she hoped. She refused to give up. She refused to accept this was her fate. Her Super Power was faith.
Her faith propelled her when her body failed her.
Her faith would not allow her to give up despite what the doctors said, despite the constant bleeding, despite the 12 long years of misery.
Her faith gave her the courage to defy culture norms and risk shame, condemnation, judgment.
Her faith gave her the strength in her anemic state to press through a crowd and “steal” a touch.
Her faith gave her the fortitude to acknowledge what she had done when Jesus asked, “Who Touched me?”
And ultimately, it was her faith that healed her.
Inside each of is this same super power of faith. You may be going through a difficult painful time at the moment. But now is the time to exercise that faith muscle. Now is time to persevere. Now is the time to press through the crowd of disbelief, doubts, lack, bad reports and touch the hem of his garment. Today is a good day to walk in faith!
“And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace and be healed of your affliction.””
