“Your child will save the world.” Prophecy upon prophecy, Mary received about her baby boy. Elisabeth prophesied when she heard Mary’s voice. Her baby leapt in agreement. The Shepherd’s came and told of their holy visitation concerning the child. Simeon and Anna took one look and knew this child was the Savior of the world. The Bible says, “Mary pondered these things in her heart.
For three decades Mary carried these promises. Through the busyness of raising children; through the disappointments of life. Think about it, Mary carried the promise that her child was the Savior of the world while she mourned the loss of her husband. How do you reconcile that? She held unto the promise, “My child is the Savior of the world,” through good times, through bad times, through times of uncertainty.
What promises from God are you clinging to today? What promises have you clung to for decades? My dear friend, Ashley, reminded us last night that we should steward well the prophetic words given us. We should write down what God has promised. We should speak in agreement with the promise. We should position ourselves to receive the promise. Mary did this. Each time she spoke His name, she was reminded of the promise, Jesus – the Savior of the world!
God is faithful. He will fulfill His promises towards you. Treasure the promise in your heart and do not allow disappointments or the busyness of life to steal your promise. Keep declaring. Keep believing. It shall come to pass.
“But Mary treasured up all these words, pondering in her heart what they might mean.”
