Are you heart broken? Have you wept over a situation in your life? Have you cried as your marriage fell apart? Your child fell further into darkness? That loved one died suddenly? The loss of the job? Have you gone to God broken, bewildered and in tears?

God has an amazing promise for us, those who have felt heartache and pain. Those who have been disappointed:

Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy. They weep as they go to plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the harvest. (‭Psalms‬ ‭126‬:‭5-6‬ NLT)

Your tears were not wasted. You will reap with shouts of joy. How will God do that? I don’t know. I just know He will. God, who was not the author of your pain, will bring restoration and shouts of joy. Your tears are temporary. Your pain is brief. You will sing again. You will return from the land of captivity stronger, braver, with shouts of joy and an overflowing harvest!
