Have you ever asked these questions when going through a difficult season?
““Will the Lord reject forever? Will he never show his favor again? Has his unfailing love vanished forever? Has his promise failed for all time? Has God forgotten to be merciful? Has he in anger withheld his compassion?”” Psalm 77:7-9 NIV
In the struggle, sometimes it’s hard to remember God’s faithfulness but remember we must. As a teacher, especially of my more advanced students, I won’t answer my student’s questions during a test. When we are in a difficult season, like my students, we must remember what Our Teacher has already taught us. He has prepared us well for this season, for this test.
After asking these questions, the Psalmist had an epiphany:
“Then I thought, “To this I will appeal: the years when the Most High stretched out his right hand. I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. I will consider all your works and meditate on all your mighty deeds.” Your ways, God, are holy. What god is as great as our God? You are the God who performs miracles; you display your power among the peoples. With your mighty arm you redeemed your people, the descendants of Jacob and Joseph.” Psalm 77:10-15
Are you in a difficult season? Is your faith being tested? Does it feel as if God is far? Does it feel as if God has led you out just to abandon you? I pray that you will have the same epiphany as the Psalmist. God has not, will not abandoned you or the dreams He has put in your heart. Meditate on past victories. Remember, He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. And the God who led you to victory yesterday is the same God who will lead you to victory today! The God who beckoned you out of the boat is the same God who will hold your hand as you walk on water in a storm.
You are going to ACE this test! Just look up!
