Open eyes, open mind and clothed with power. That’s my prayer this morning.
Jesus appeared to the disciples after his crucifixion. He walked and talked with them for miles, yet they did not recognize Him. Before many of us were saved, Jesus walked with us. He was pursuing us, protecting us, yet we did not recognize Him.
My prayer this morning is for my Pre-Christian friends and family. May their eyes be opened to recognize His pursuit, His love, His protection that has been been with them for miles. May their eyes be opened to see and recognize His beauty.
Jesus appeared to the disciples once again. This time He opened their minds to understand scripture. That is my prayer. An opened mind to further understand scripture. To know Him more. To see Him from Genesis to Revelation. Not as an academic pursuit but I want every fiber of my being to know Him. I want to be in complete fellowship with Him.
Jesus promised they would be clothed with a power. Lord, remind me that I am clothed with your power. With every circumstance I Face today and everyday, remind me that you have given me the resources needed to overcome. You have given me power to see the sick healed, the blind see, the lame walk. Now, give me boldness to do it!
Father, open the eyes of my friends, open my mind for understanding, and let me experience greater power. Amen.
“Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, and he disappeared from their sight.
Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures.
I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.””
