Once again Abraham is asked to do the impossible – sacrifice his Son, his child of promise. He willingly obeyed. Paul would later tell us it’s because Abraham believed God was able to resurrect Isaac from the dead.
Abraham was willing to give it all away because of the simple belief, “The Lord will Provide.”
We all have experienced that nudge from God to do this or that but yet we have not because we felt we didn’t have the resources. We wait for God to provide but perhaps God is waiting for us to take the first step so that He can provide.
What I am learning is that there is no lack in the Kingdom of God. I have seen God provide over and over again. I have taken a step of faith, not knowing how but God has met me in that place and provided.
Brothers and sisters, I encourage you to trust God. If He has called you to do something, He will provide. Take a step of faith. He has looked ahead and there is a ram in the bush. On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided!
“So Abraham called that place The Lord Will Provide. And to this day it is said, “On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided.””
