I have been listening to a song called “Take Courage” all week. It is speaking to me in this season of my faith. One of the lines that has really spoken to my heart says: “He is in the waiting.”
I don’t wait well. I’m not a fan of inactivity. For the last year, I’ve been writing books & bible studies, planning a wedding and now quiet. Waiting for the next step. I’m uncomfortable with the quiet. I don’t like the waiting. But He is in the waiting.
God gave me a picture of this season in my life. I was lying on a boat that was adrift. Land was nowhere in sight. The seas were calm. The sun was shining, the skies were blue. And God’s presence was there as I lay there with no apparent destination. I felt complete peace. He is in the waiting.
Sometimes God is teaching us things in the wait.
Sometimes God is equipping us in the wait.
Sometimes God is giving us much needed rest in the wait.
Whatever God is doing in your heart in this season of waiting, rest assured He is in the waiting.
“Wait for and confidently expect the LORD; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for and confidently expect the LORD.” PSALM 27:14 AMP
