How to wait on God – Lesson 7
One of my favorite Christian artist, Travis Green, has a new album debuting in October. He has released one of the songs from his new album to YouTube, Good and Loved. I had listened to it a few times but was not particularly impressed.
But God would use this song to reveal to me the most profound lesson of all:
“Melissa, while you are waiting, when things seem difficult, when circumstances happen, remember this one thought: “I am good and you are loved!” Cling to this thought.”
Zephaniah 3:17 promises: “For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.”” Zephaniah 3:17 NLT
This past week, I have heard God singing over me and He is singing, “I am Good. You are loved.” This song has calmed my fears. Given me peace. Empowered me to move forward. “I am Good. You are loved,” He is whispering.
Are you waiting this morning?
Waiting for a job offer? God is good and you are loved.
Waiting to hear if you got into the college of your dreams. God is good and you are loved.
Waiting for test results? God is good and you are loved.
Waiting for a breakthrough in your finances or ministry? God is good and you are loved.
Waiting for a spouse or a child to come to Jesus? God is good and you are loved.
Waiting to see the fulfillment of promise? God is good and you are loved.
His fingerprints are in your wait. Hear Him singing over you in the wait. Let His song calm your fears in the wait. Let His love overcome your uncertainty in the wait. Take His hand, put your head on His shoulder and walk through this wait together, knowing no matter what is on the other side of the wait, God will still be good and you will still be loved.
He is good. You are loved.
