Sometimes life is hard. We will never experience the agony, the pain, the abandonment, the sorrow that Jesus experienced on the cross (He experienced it so we would not have to). But nonetheless in this life there is pain, heartache, sorrow. How we walk through these times of difficulty speaks volumes to those around us.

Jesus, even in His death, led people to worship and praise God. He invites us to do the same. As we go through adverse times, He invites us to see God as Father, commit our sorrows to God, to trust in His promises and hope in His goodness. For Jesus was confident as we should also be confident that “A Resurrection is Coming!”

Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last. The centurion, seeing what had happened, praised God and said, “Surely this was a righteous man.” (‭Luke‬ ‭23‬:‭46-47‬ NIV)
