Be A Blessing
Blessed to be a blessing. That it is who we are as Christians. As heirs, descendants of Abraham we have been given much to bless many.
About three years ago, I prayed this prayer: “Lord, give me seed to sow.” I felt His response was, “I already have.” I thought He meant the gift card I had gotten a few days prior. So I set out to find someone to bless. But nothing seemed like where I was suppose to give.
After praying that prayer, God reminded me that I have partnered with friends in prayer for answers to some truly serious issues, I have had coffee with friends who needed a listening ear, and I have opened my home to people who needed family for the holiday.
God showed me my seed to sow was Him.
If you are a believer, you are blessed to be a blessing. Let’s go into this new decade acutely aware we have something to give. It may be a financial blessing, wisdom, a smile, a hug, a prayer, a listening ear, a family dinner or a word of encouragement. But we have all been blessed to be a blessing. Go out today and sow the seed of the Mesiah. Go out today and be who you are, Blessed to be a blessing!
Pray with me:
Thank you Father, you have blessed us with every spiritual blessing. Let us take our eyes off of our problems. Let us dispel the lie we have nothing to offer. Let us arise from inactivity. Let us sow You in every conversation, every interaction with others, every place our feet treads.
Open our eyes to see those hurting around us. Give us wisdom to discern their true need. Give us boldness to be your hands and feet. We are blessed to be a blessing.
Father, You have unlimited resources. When we see a need, let our first thought not be, “How are we going to pay for that?” Impart faith that we will believe for the impossible. Let us have faith that you will make a way when there is no way. Let us partner with heaven’s unlimited resources to feed, clothe, heal, and break generational poverty in our communities.
Remind us Lord, that you have blessed us not too build our own empire but to be a blessing to the world.
In 2020 we will experience greater prosperity in hearing God’s voice, understanding His love, grace, and mercy, spiritual resources, financial resources. And as we excel in prospering, let us excel in giving. Let nations and generations be blessed by God’s people. Amen.”
“In Christ’s family there can be no division into Jew and non-Jew, slave and free, male and female. Among us you are all equal. That is, we are all in a common relationship with Jesus Christ. Also, since you are Christ’s family, then you are Abraham’s famous “descendant,” heirs according to the covenant promises.”
Galatians 3:28-29 MSG
