Prodigal?

Do you have a dramatic story of salvation? Perhaps you experienced a bona-fide miraculous healing. We love to hear those stories of Damascus road salvation, blind eyes opened immediately, drug addicts change their ways stories. But sometimes we can neglect or not appreciate the ordinary “I’ve been a Christian most of my life” stories.

They are no less powerful, no less dramatic, no less a demonstration of God’s love. When the prodigals come home, the elder brothers can feel as if they have not been celebrated, they may feel as if all the attention is on the prodigal. But the Father is declaring “You have had access to me all along. Everything I have has always been made available to you. I rejoice over you every day!”

Your salvation – wether you have been saved most of your life, or if you were delivered from addictions, or if you were an atheist – is a miracle! And every day, we should celebrate that we were all at one time prodigal and we all have come home!

“ ‘My son,’ the father said, ‘you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. (Luke 15:31 NIV)
