Uncertainty

What do you do when you get news of a possible bad report?

The company is downsizing and you may be laid off.
The doctor is concerned about your test and you may have a degenerative disease,
Your spouse is unhappy and divorce is looming.

What do you do in the uncertainty?

Fear? Worry? Google?

What if you prayed and rested?

A man came to Jesus because his son was sick. Jesus told the man to “Go, your son will live.” The man had no physical change in his circumstance. All he had was a word from Jesus. That was enough for him.

The man believed. And departed in peace. He believed if Jesus promised, it would come to pass. He believed without seeing.

What do you do in the uncertainty? Ask. Believe. Walk in peace.

Jesus spoke one word to this gentleman. We have a book of promises. To name a few:

God will not leave or forsake us.
He who gave us His Son, how will He not give us all things.
All things will work together for our good.
By His stripes we are healed.
God will supply all of our needs according to His riches in glory.

As we face uncertainty,

We can fear the unknown or We can trust the One who is Known.
We can panic or We can walk in Peace.
We can be overcome by worry or We can overcome worry by the blood of the lamb and the Word of His testimony.

Let us be like that Father. Ask. Believe. Walk in peace.

““Go,” Jesus told him, “your son will live.” The man believed what Jesus said to him and departed.”
