Preemptive Strike – Day 26

Knee Pained Healed
Tizimín, Mexico

This is an excerpt from my latest book, Redefined – When Jesus Captivates a Woman’s Heart.

“The diversity of women in the bible should lead us to an important truth: We all get to participate in the kingdom of God. Homemakers and business owners, single and married, widows and virgins. God can and does use all of us to bring Him glory. Biblical women in the bible were never relegated to the kitchen but they were financial investors, teachers, prophets, evangelists, hostesses, apostles, and worship leaders. They were an integral part of Biblical History and an integral part of the New Church.

A healthy Church in the 21st century will empower women to advance in all facets of society – from homemakers to political advocates to CEO’s of major corporations. A healthy church will not limit women’s roles to Sunday School teachers, Hospitality Chairs and event organizers. But a healthy church will give women opportunities to teach, preach, evangelize, and prophesy. A healthy church will remind all of its congregants and especially their women, whatever their gifts, their personality types, they are valuable, honored, and cherished in the Kingdom of God. A healthy church will embrace the uniqueness and diversity of its congregants. Let us strive to create a healthy 21st Century church.” Melissa Bolden

As we are about to enter into a new decade, let’s ask God to give our church leaders a greater revelation of this truth. Pray with me.

“Father we are thankful that in you there is neither Jew or Greek, slave or free, male or female. We are all one in you. Jesus’ death and resurrection redeemed us all. Now we all get to participate!

Father, as we embark upon a new decade, I ask that the Holy Spirit give fresh revelation of this truth to leaders in all Christian denominations. Prick their hearts to humbly receive this truth.

Stir up gifts in women. Let them find their place in leadership, in teaching, in evangelizing, in the gift of helps.

Let your body come together and celebrate our diversity. Let our diversity be a strength and not a point of contention.

Father rise up a new army of believers. An army where men and women, Caucasians and people of color, young and old, would join together to push back the darkness and extend the kingdom of God.

Lord, help us become a healthy, unified church as we enter into this new decade. Amen.”

“There is [now no distinction in regard to salvation] neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you [who believe] are all one in Christ Jesus [no one can claim a spiritual superiority]. And if you belong to Christ [if you are in Him], then you are Abraham’s descendants, and [spiritual] heirs according to [God’s] promise.”
