Discovering Your “Such a Time as This”

Esther was a young girl that was thrust into royalty. She could have lived her life safely and quietly in the luxury of the King’s Court.

Initially when hearing about the unfair treatment of her people, she did what most of us would do. She considered herself insignificant to make a change. But Mordecai quickly reminded her, “she had a Royal position” for such a time as this.

Sometimes, I’m overwhelmed with the injustices, poverty, sickness, and immortality of this country. I want to put my head in the sand and thank God for my little piece of peace. But then I’m reminded, I am royalty.

The Bible describes us a royal priesthood, a chosen nation, sons and daughters of the King – Royalty. We have come to our places of influence for such a time as this. In this new decade, I want to walk in it.

Pray with me:

“Father, I thank you that your scepter is ALWAYS extended toward your children. We are always welcomed in your presence. You have equipped us with every spiritual blessing. You have given us gifts of the Holy Spirit and fruit of the Spirit. We have been made sufficient in you.

Show me Lord where you have called me to serve. Give me wisdom to know what battles I am called to fight, what injustices I am called to champion. Then let me do it with the fruit of the Spirit you have given me. Let the gifts you have given me be used to advance the Kingdom, combat injustice, love people to the kingdom, heal the sick, lead people to freedom. Give me revelation on what my “such a time as this,” is in this season.

I cast out the spirit of fear and timidity that works to keep me inactive. I thank you Father that you have endowed me the Spirit of power, love, and a sound mind. I denounce any lies that tell me I am insignificant. Give me wisdom to partner with the truth that I am a Royal Priesthood, a child of the Most High, Royalty.

Give me the fortitude not to be daunted when I don’t see changes as quickly as I would like. Give me perseverance and honor my faithfulness.

Father, in 2020, I want to advance the Kingdom Of God in greater more profound ways. I have been called for such a time as this. Let me walk in it. Amen.”
