People of Influence

I’m convinced Christians are called to be the most influential people in the universe. God’s desire is to bless us so that others will see His goodness through our lives. Now, this is not to say as Christians, we will not have our disappointments or experience loss. But the bible says we don’t mourn as a people without hope. Even in trials, even in our difficulties, we have a hope. Our hope should be contagious!

In order to influence the world, we can’t hide in our churches, and our Christian schools. We must venture out as ambassadors for Christ, influencing government, schools, businesses. We are called to influence others by being a light, set on a hill. Remember, light shines brightest in the darkness. You are called to salt the earth bringing flavor and the goodness of the Lord everywhere you go.

Come on saints, let’s begin our day with a different attitude. You are being sent today. Sent into your place of employment, your schools, your neighborhood. You are being sent to display the glory of God, to influence a generation, to carry the presence of God. You are being sent to re-present Jesus to the world!

“This is what the LORD of Heaven’s Armies says: People from nations and cities around the world will travel to Jerusalem. The people of one city will say to the people of another, ‘Come with us to Jerusalem to ask the LORD to bless us. Let’s worship the LORD of Heaven’s Armies. I’m determined to go.’ Many peoples and powerful nations will come to Jerusalem to seek the LORD of Heaven’s Armies and to ask for his blessing. “This is what the LORD of Heaven’s Armies says: In those days ten men from different nations and languages of the world will clutch at the sleeve of one Jew. And they will say, ‘Please let us walk with you, for we have heard that God is with you.’” (Zechariah 8:20-23 NLT)
