A Triumphant Life

I’m finding Philippians has great advice for living well. This morning, I am reminded that:

1. I don’t have to strive to be perfect. God is at work in me. Every Christian should wear a sign that says, “Pardon my mess. I’m under construction.” We are each being transformed from glory to glory into His image. We are not perfect. We must remember to extend grace to ourselves and grace to others as we journey in this life.

2. God has many love languages but complaining and arguing are not two of them. Instead of complaining, we call those things that be not as though they are. We declare the promises of God over situations. We change outcomes by the words we speak. We remind people of who they are in Christ.

3. We shine. We reflect the glory of God everywhere we go. We change atmospheres, making people hungry for God. We do not argue about what is right or wrong, we demonstrate it by being Jesus’ hands, feet, mouth, and heart.

Let us shed ordinary living today. Let us heed Paul’s advice and live well today. Know God is at work within us, giving us the power to live A Triumphant Life!!

“because God is always at work in you to make you willing and able to obey his own purpose. Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may be innocent and pure as God’s perfect children, who live in a world of corrupt and sinful people. You must shine among them like stars lighting up the sky,”
