Waiting Well

Are you waiting? Are you waiting for promises of God to be fulfilled in your life. Waiting for your child to come home? Waiting for your marriage to be restored? Waiting for your spouse? Your big break? Your healing? Are you growing weary in the wait?

Habakkuk has some good advice on how to wait well.

1. Write down your vision. Big letters. Keep it in your line of sight. Decree it daily.

2. Run! Run toward your vision. Run with joy. Prepare for it.

3. Believe. God is faithful. It will come to pass. Wait patiently. Anticipate. Expect. Stay faithful to the vision.

Waiting is not easy. I know. I’m living there. There are days when I want to give up. Days when I question the vision. But then my eyes catch a glimpse of the promise and I am spurred forward. God speaks to my heart and I am encouraged.

My Friends, don’t give up. Write the vision down and run. It will come to pass!

“Then the LORD answered me and said, “Write the vision And engrave it plainly on [clay] tablets So that the one who reads it will run. “For the vision is yet for the appointed [future] time It hurries toward the goal [of fulfillment]; it will not fail. Even though it delays, wait [patiently] for it, Because it will certainly come; it will not delay.”
