The Royal Family

I wonder if Prince Charles spends sleepless nights worrying about his future? I wonder if Prince Harry worries about paying for his children’s college tuition? Probably not. Such worries seem trivial for the royal family.

But can I remind you that when you accepted Jesus Christ as your savior, you became part of a royal family with unlimited resources. You were adopted into a royal family with all rights and privileges. You are a co-heir with big brother Jesus.

So just as the royal family doesn’t concern itself with worrying about resources, neither should we. We walk through every circumstance, every situation knowing we are sons and daughters of the King. We are children who are loved and accepted by our father. We have been commissioned by our Father to reign and He backs us up with His unlimited resources. We have been called to share in His glory, His goodness.

So my sisters and brothers, as you face this cold, harsh world, remember who you are today. Hold your head up, stand up straight, adjust your crown and go out and reign in life, knowing you are heirs in a royal family.

The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. (‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭15-17‬ NIV)
