Blessed!

Jesus was perfectly obedient. Because of Jesus’ obedience we stand before God holy and blameless because we are in
Christ. When God sees us, He sees His son – the perfectly obedient lamb of God. This is important for us as new Christians because now we get to reap the benefits of Jesus’ perfect obedience.

Deuteronomy 28 promised that if the children of Israel obeyed, these blessings would come upon them. As New Testament Christians these promises belong to us because of Jesus’ obedience.

This morning, I am declaring these promises over my life. They belong to us as Christians. Just as we will not allow the enemy to steal our health, our families, our peace we should not allow him to steal our finances. We are blessed to be a blessing! So this morning I declare and decree:

All these blessings will come to me in abundance because of Jesus’ obedience:

I am blessed in the city and blessed in the field.

My children will be blessed, as well as the produce of my soil.

My basket and your mixing bowl will be blessed.

I am blessed when I come in and blessed when I go out.

The LORD will cause my enemies who attack me to be struck down before me; they will attack me from one direction but flee from me in seven different directions.

The LORD will decree blessing for me with respect to my barns and in everything I do – yes, he will bless me in the land he is giving me.

The LORD will designate me as his holy people just as he promised me, because Jesus kept His commandments and obeyed him.

All the peoples of the earth will see that I belong to the LORD, and they will respect me.

The LORD will greatly multiply my children, the offspring of my livestock, and the produce of my soil in the land which he promised my ancestors he would give me.

The LORD will open for me his good treasure house, the heavens, to give me rain for the land in its season and to bless all I do;

I will lend to many nations but I will not borrow from any.

The LORD will make me the head and not the tail, and I will always end up at the top and not at the bottom,

I can walk in obedience today because of the sacrifice of Christ.
